Alexander Mackenzie’s History of the Mackenzies, originally published in 1879 and reprinted in 1894, is now available in its entirety on Scribd. The site offer online reading of the text, a well as the option to download the book free of charge in either plain text or Adobe PDF format.
The site — which requires Adobe Flash, and a free sign-up — also includes many other texts on Gaelic and Celtic, as well as a wealth of other material on a wide variety of topics, and is very much worth a look.
